Aquamax Hydroblasting was established in 1995 as a specialist surface preparation company.

At Aquamax we focus solely on hydroblasting or waterjetting. We don’t do sandblasting or chemical cleaning.

We use a specialised Ultra High Pressure (45,000psi) Low Volume (4.0 litres/min) waterjetting process. This is extraordinarily effective in removing a wide range of coatings and contaminants from all types of surfaces while being environmentally sound.

If the client or situation requires, we do also have medium volume water-blasters (3,000 psi @ 32 litres/min, 5,000 psi @ 21 litres/min).

Our management team has over 30 years’ experience within the waterjetting industry. We complement this experience with technical advice and support from companies and institutions such as Opus, Auckland University of Technology, the Wellington Institute of Technology, the Defence Technology Agency, as well as the manufacturers and suppliers of our specilaised equipment.

All our operators are highly skilled with waterjetting experience ranging from 1 to 10 years. They are all subject to extensive training. For specialist work such as removing aircraft coatings and cleaning power turbines, operators are especially trained, and must be qualified, to work in these areas.
